Rick Ross Dropped From Reebok Endorsement Deal: Is This Fair?

Recently rapper Rick Ross has taken A LOT of heat for a line in his new song U.O.E.N.O in which he says a controversial line that seems to be referring to date rape. He states “Put Molly [Ecstasy] all in the champagne.  She ain’t even know it.  I took her home and I enjoy that.  She ain’t even know it.” I don’t believe that reebok should have dropped him from his endorsement because rap has no censor for example Young Money Artist Mack Maine stating ” when you turn 18 holla at me miley cyrus” implying he was waiting on a minor at the time to turn 18 to date/have sex but no one said anything or rapper Eminem crazy lyrics about killing his ex wife rap is rap it has no censor. Most of the time in rap the artist says what’s going to sale what’s going to attract a crowd in his/her record not something they believe in. Yes, he said it but I don’t believe that he would actually do that to a woman. Reebok will agree with this being that they said in their statement to TMZ “While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.” I can see why they are disappointed he could’ve showed more concern and some remorse for offending rape victims but at the same time this is a man who’s been judged and talked about since day 1 so he probably feels as if this is another case were he’s being attacked by the public. In my opinion this is exactly what happen. If he had actually took action in sexual assault I would understand them releasing him from his contract but just talking about it in a song no. Tell me what you guys think in a comment below xoxo
